British born mezzo soprano, Elizabeth Lynch is a recent graduate of the Guildhall School’s award winning Opera Course where she holds the prestigious Silk Street Award for opera, a CRD for exceptional performance in opera, a fellowship of the School and is a current Artist Diploma recipient. Elizabeth is a Concordia Artist, an Alverez Young Artist at Garsington Opera and an alluma of The Purcell School of Music. Elizabeth is most gratefully supported by Serena Fenwick, The Worshipful Company of Saddlers and the Guildhall School Trust.

A keen concert artist, Elizabeth made her Barbican Hall debut performing the mezzo solo in Elgar’s Music Makers with the GSO. She regularly performs in concerts, oratorios and recitals around England and internationally and is familiar with much of the standard concert repertoire.

Mezzo solo Verdi’s Requiem (LSO St Luke’s, Discovery day) A solo recital at the Wigmore Hall (Purcell Recital Prize winner), Frauenliebe und Leben with Graham Johnson (Guildhall School), and The World Premier of Lorin Mazel’s The Empty Pot (LSO).
Elizabeth recently released her album-recording debut with the concert series and record label Song in the City. The Album Voices of London; Songs of the Big Smoke features a brand new song cycle and has gained critical acclaim. No stranger to commercial recording, Elizabeth was also the alto soloist in Pärt’s Stabat Mater (BBC Radio 3, total immersions), the voice of the Young Vixen in the BBC animation of The Cunning Little Vixen and made an appearance on the Satirical channel four comedy, The Rory Bremner Show.
Elizabeth is excited to be joining the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus 2018. This will include an appearance in Pelléas et Mélisande for the BBC proms at the Royal Albert Hall. She will be making her debut at English National Opera in February 2019 as daughter in the revival of ENO’s spectacular production of Akhnaten by Philip Glass.
