The Guildhall Symphony Orchestra & Chorus returned to the Barbican Hall last autumn (25th September 2015) to perform works by Elgar, Prokofiev, Beethoven and Shostakovich. Elgar’s popular cantata The Music Makers opens the concert with mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Lynch, taking to the stage in this setting of poet Arthur O’Shaughnessy’s ode to the dreaming artist. The concert was conducted by James Blair.
